The ”Dunavski struni” (Danube Strings) Guitar Festival Silistra is organized by the ”Dunavski struni” Association and the Municipality of Silistra.

Victoria Tsvetkova – a classical guitar teacher at her ‘Acoustic’ guitar club - is the Art director, creator and chief organizer of the festival.

She was born in Silistra and began to study classical guitar in her hometown at the age of 9. She graduated from the Music Academy of Lausanne in Sion, Switzerland. She is a winner of many prestigious awards from international guitar competitions and she is also a part of the international jury at the Pleven Guitar Festival.

Guitar art enthusiasts and youth volunteers who study guitar also take part in the Danube Strings Association. They are united by the general idea of developing the guitar festival.

The guiding goal for the organizers is to turn this guitar festival into a source of inspiration as well as an exciting music holiday for the soul and the art. The forum will present to the audience prominent guitarists from Bulgaria and Europe. The festival aims to expand itself and to present guitar art to a wider audience.

The festival is a part of the cultural calendar of the Municipality of Silistra.
